"Chess is above all a fight"-Emmaunel Lasker
If even in 1-minute and 3-minute games you repeat the same boring openings-Exchange French, Exchange Slav, Queen's Gambit Declined etc, I feel sorry for whatever sadomasochistic pleasure chess gives you.
My greatest respect goes to the players who are seemingly always lucky
Dear everyone that got flagged in blitz/bullet: Please don't play a fast time control and then take the moral high ground when you couldn't keep up. I suggest you solve your flagging problems by playing at a time control which suits you more-eg: all moves in 2 hours+1 minute increment per move
The GM draw death isn't occuring, but with commentators getting excited about novelties in equal positions at move 25+, it's not far off. Soon the computers will make GM chess a shadow of what it used to be. But for amateurs, I think the creativity and enjoyment of a game played by oneself is still there.
